Greetings to all! Massive respect to each and everyone! We are happy to announce that our baby is taking its first steps, with one year of life under its belt! So, we proudly invite you to come and join us in this yearly celebration of our culture, our freedom and our lives! The main goal of the second Underwater Overground festival is the same as the first one, and as it always will be: to find an empty place, organize like-minded people and together transform it into a melting-pot of movement, energy, culture, sound, vision, knowledge, and of course, fun. All of us will be living together for some days and during this period we should all do our best to inspire each other and move the boundaries of expectance by acting as not just consumers, but as active participators creating a deep experience of this new culture emerging from the ruins of the old one. Culture that is not driven by profit and control but by recognition of human need for creative expression and the community in which they can have freedom to be themselves without fear of repression for being “different”.

This is just one of the many festivals, no more - no less, but we organize it with an awareness that it is placed inside the continuity of human celebrations of spirit and freedom dating back to most ancient times - this is the modern form of such rituals where we use the modern technology and other benefits of civilization in a liberating way, educating each other, having fun together, and raising the consciousness that we should take on a journey, one step at a time, which ends in a place where all of us have a dignified and fulfilled existence. So join us!

This year we organize our festival on the beautiful island of Hvar – the location is just across the beach, with mountains on the other side! The concept is to have two floors for three nights and four days of NON-STOP music! The main floor will concentrate on psychedelic and progressive trance, covering the variety of sub-genres in this tribal electronic music - from the Scandinavian minimalist approach to the Israeli neo-full on assault and everything in-between and around, we will combine internationally known artists with still-not-so-recognized suspects from Croatia and its neighboring countries to provide you with live-acts and DJs that will blow you away and bend your mind! The other floor will have a more diverse concept and will present the work of various underground tribes and collectives working hard for their cause - it will go from ambient ethnic chillin' downbeat freestyle beats over smokin' steppin' dub-reggae spirit vibration to corrosive and explosive electro breakbeats and nu-skool breaks.

Besides that, we will again offer a variety of workshops, lectures, presentations, projections and similar activities aimed at those who want to learn more about our culture and make it even richer in all aspects of creative expression through a different model of education because we believe knowledge must be free!
