Maybe unhelpful for you, helpful for others... The problems with "review sites" are often that people are very into telling what a crappy cd it is or what a killer it is. But they almost never describe the music. Ok, its bad or good for them, but why?? What is bad or what is good? Maybe the cd is good for one person but bad for another.... What I try to do is explain what the music sounds like etc, so that YOU can decide if it is bad or good... With these reviews people can read and find out if it is the kind of trance they are willing to buy. By describing what kind of rhythms the tracks has helps a lot of people. Is a weak bassline bad for you? Maybe not for me? Its often very hard to describe what music sounds like in words, but at least I try as best I can to describe the vibe, what it sounds like, style etc. Try to look at these reviews another way than a usual review at a review site. The two most commen reviews you find out there is:
This is a killer!!!!!!!!!
and
This sucks!!!!!
Ok, those two kind of reviews describe what the reviewer thinks of the album, but it really doesn`t say anything about the music. That is the kind of reviews I find unhelpful....
