Second album by Lish is out on Com.Pact Records...
|
Lish (Lior Maimon & Shay Tiab) from Israel is out with their second album, this time on Com.Pact Records. Lish is one of just a few Israeli trance groups who follow the more progressive side of psytrance.
Lish "Free Fall" Com.Pact Records 2005 (CPCD020)
1. Sea Side Hills
2. Outsiders
3. Sunday Muse
4. Life Stream
5. On The Edge
6. Time
7. Fresh
8. Blue
9. Slow Me Away (Remix)
The first track starts nice and floating, before a groovy, progressive beat sneaks in. A drifting track that should fit perfect for the morning. Track 2 goes quite floating too. Drifting, progressive morning trance. Track 3 is a stumping track. This one goes a little bit more towards full on, but keeps the progressive echoing soundscapes. Track 4 is a groovy, pumping track. We get some voice samples and a quite trippy vibe. Track 5 goes the same direction. Groovy, progressive trance, but not with a lot of variation, and most of these tracks sounds very much the same.
Track 6 is another stumping track. This one goes even more full on and builds up from beginning to end. We also get some more melodies in this one. In track 7, we get some female vocals. Quite housy vibes in there, but with groovy trance rhythms. Not exactly my style, but okay. Track 8 is surprisingly a relaxing chill out track. Quite melodic, with some beautiful sounds and vocals. Nice one. The last track on this album is a pretty full on, melodic track with a bit more commercial sound than the others.
This album stays somewhere between full on and progressive trance. I missed some more variation between the tracks here, but we get some nice, groovy, drifting tracks too. One of the better releases from Com.Pact lately.
