As the title and cover art already says, this is a dark album. The first track has some samples of a choir in a church, before some intense beats start pushing in a fast tempo. Pure night time trance, with mostly scary, dark sounds all the way through. Personally I miss some light breaks now and then, but I understand that some people wants it totally dark all the way to sunrise. Track 2 doesn’t go any lighter. It starts with a voice sample saying something about the Bushmen in the Kalahari dessert. Cool sample, then the intense rolling bass line start its journey again. Some psychedelic sounds jumps and swirls in and out now and then, and surprisingly some kind of melody jumps in too. Really far out sounds and quite psychedelic. It builds up and becomes pretty massive. Track 3 starts with a voice sample too. This one goes even deeper and harder into the spooky, dark soundscapes. Intense, rolling, fast bassline. Personally I find this kind of trance a bit boring because there are so little melodies and variation, except for some weird, dark sounds swirling in now and then. Reminds me a lot of other musicians who make this kind of night time horror trance, like several Russian artists. Track 4 starts sort of mystic with a very scary vibe. Then suddenly we get a pumping bass line. I’m sure a lot of night time trance lovers will enjoy this one. It has some really twisted, psychedelic sounds, and some more melodies than the other tracks on this album. My favourite track on this album.

Track 5 starts with some more voice samples, before a pretty drifting, deep bass line hits in again. Here we don’t get much melodies at all, but there are some metallic, dark sounds teasing us now and then. Not exactly my cup of tea when it comes to psychedelic trance, but I like some of these twisted sounds pretty well. Again it builds up from start to end, and becomes better in the last half in my opinion. Track 6 almost start pushing beats from the first second. This one goes totally dark again. Pretty boring bass line if you ask me, but some of the sounds saves it. I like the way it builds up, and he probably knows how to do it since he is one half of the progressive duo called Phony Orphants. Track 7 is a really pumping track with some crispy sounds above. The bass line is a bit boring in my ears, but again he gives us some really dark, twisted, psychedelic sounds. Totally dark, mystic vibe. After a while he throws in an intense melody too, and even a sample from the Australian TV series called Skippy The Bush Kangaroo! One of the funniest samples I have heard in a trance track for a while. Track 8 is a stumpy track, where he has put in some guitar sounds. You still get that dark vibe, but the guitar sounds really lightens it up. The last track we get here sounds really weird. Totally twisted sounds just bubbling, a stumping bass line and some small weird melodies. Typical Australian trance for those who like it weird.

This album isn’t exactly my cup of tea, but something for those of you who like it really dark, with a lot of weird sounds, but less melodies. In my opinion the tracks could have had a bit more massive sound and more melodies, but check it out if you are into his other Dark Nebula albums.
