A new full on compilation is out on Utopia Records in Israel...
|
The Israeli label Utopia Records is out with a new compilation. It is the first chapter in a series called Pure Imagination. It is compiled by dj Ido, and he serves us pure Israeli full on psytrance.
Pure Imagination Vol. 1 (Utopia Records) 2004 (UTPCD004)
1. Audiotec – Passion Of Mind
2. Vibetribe Vs. Toxic Toy – American Pussy
3. Bizzare Contact – Love Simulation
4. Magnetic Force Vs. Sixsense – Space Port
5. Perplex Vs. Paranormal Attack – 2Much
6. Sirius Isness – Computer Voodoo
7. S.B.S. – Out Of Earth
8. Beat Hackers – Insaine Genious
9. Ananda Shake – First Rain
10. Abstract – Echology Of Souls
First out is an upcoming act called Audiotec who will release a debut album this year. It starts slow and floating, before the pushing full on rhythms starts rolling. This track is really melodic and varies quite a lot. If you are into very typical melodic Israeli full on, you will probably enjoy this. Track 2 is a collaboration between Vibetribe and Toxic Toy. It starts off with some funny samples, before we suddenly get thrown right into the full on madness. This track has some very melodic breaks that almost become over the top for my taste. This kind of trance easily become a bit cheesy. But things become a bit better in track 3. This one is by Bizzare Contact (Didy Ezra and Kfir Lankry) who usually releases tracks on Com.Pact Records. This track is also very melodic, but less cheesy. Rolling, heavy rhythms, and some crazy melodies. They have also sampled a beautiful female voice. Melodic, drifting full on. Track 4 is a collaboration between Magnetic Force and Sixsense. This one starts with a floating, dramatic part, before some banging, groovy rhythms starts stumping. This one also goes the melodic full on direction. Very typical Israeli style, with a pretty happy melody. My favourite track on this compilation so far. Track 5 is a new track by Perplex (Ronen Dahan), who released a new album (Circles Of Life) on Utopia Records this year. Here he has collaborated with Paranormal Attack again. This one is a bit darker and rough than the previous tracks on this compilation. Totally full on, with a bit lesser melodies.
Then we get a new track by an upcoming star in the psytrance scene called Sirius Isness (Max Peterson and Davina Elmosnino). They have released a lot of tracks on various full on compilations lately, and will release their debut album on Moon Spirits Records this year. They have a killer bass line and a massive sound picture. Great melodies and a nice drifting vibe. Definitely my favourite track on this compilation. The sounds they have put into this track is really cool too. Nice one. Track 6 is by an artist called S.B.S. who is going to release an album on Utopia Records. This is a heavy rolling monster with a very drifting, melodic vibe all the way through. It is melodic, but doesn’t become too soft. Track 8 is a new track by Beat Hackers. This has some heavy, banging rhythms. Stumpy as hell and with the darkest vibe on this compilation. Metallic sounds but also some lighter melodies. Track 9 by Ananda Shake is a heavy rolling track. The sounds in this one are pretty cool, jumping in and out of the rhythms. The last track on this compilation by someone called Abstract is a very floating, slower track. Totally melodic all the way through with a lot of voice samples. I get some kind of house feeling out of this, and it doesn’t fit to my taste. But it’s nice with some relaxing stuff after all the full on madness.
This compilation has a few strong full on melodic psytrance tracks. If you are into typical Israeli trance these days, you should check this out.
