Module 02 (3D Vision Records) 2004 (3DVCD019)

1. Solar Fields – The Sight Is White
2. Blue Planet Corporation – Stalker
3. Aes Dana – Aftermath 3
4. Tikal – Culture
5. Timewarp – I Had A Trip Once
6. Nomad – Desert Wind
7. Talamasca & Yuman – 2E Masterplan
8. Koala – Overeality
9. Confidence – Epilogue

First out is a track by Solar Fields (Magnus Birgersson) from Sweden. He has released two albums on the French quality chill label Ultimae Records. The track we get here is deep and floating as usual from this guy. Totally relaxed ambient, with a slow down tempo rhythm. Track 2 is surprisingly by Blue Planet Corporation (Gabriel Masurel)! This is one of my favourite artists out there, but he/they haven’t released much music since their album Blue Planet on Flying Rhino Records in 1999. The track we get here is very deep and dubby with some kind of jazzy vibe. Good to hear some new music from this guy again. Track 3 is by Aes Dana (Vincent Villuis) who also has released two albums on Ultimae Records. Here we get a taste of his latest album Aftermath that was released as a limited edition release (300 copies) on Ultimae records last year. This guy sure knows how to make it deep too. Floating, atmospheric vibe, with totally deep down tempo rhythms. Mystic and relaxing. Track 4 is by Tikal (Manuel & Vincent Bernal). This is one of my favourite tracks on this compilation. Very tribal with a progressive up building. At the end you can almost dance to the drifting down tempo rhythms. Beautiful female voice, nice tribal drums and a great floating vibe.

Track 5 is by Timewarp (Angelos Stoumpos) who just released his second album (Time In Waves) on Synergetic Records. Here we get a track from that album. A nice melancholic, floating ambient track. The sounds are just drifting all the way through. Track 6 is surprisingly by Nomad (Farid Merbouche/dj Mael). He doesn’t give us much rest in his albums, but here he has made a beautiful chilled dub track with Arabic influences. Some nice flute, a mystic vibe and funky sounds. Then we get a track by another artist who usually make full on psytrance, Talamasca, here together with dj Yuman. They give us dubby track with heavy down tempo beats. They have also added some pan flute and a beautiful female voice. Track 8 is by Koala (Jean-Michel Blanchet). He gives us a totally relaxed, beautiful ambient track. It starts nice and floating, and the beautiful melodies come slowly into the track. Very atmospheric. Definitely one of my favourite tracks on this compilation. The last track on this great compilation is by Confidence (Christian Gonzalez). A very deep track with some tribal drums above the floating melancholic vibe. Nice finish.

In my opinion, this compilation is better than the first Module. Here we get pure quality chill all the way through. Recommended!
