Ronen Dahan is out with his fourth Perplex album, this time on the Israeli label Utopia Records. Perplex is known for his melodic full on trance, and now he is back stronger than ever.

The first track starts with some tribal drums, before the strong, heavy rhythms starts rolling. Pretty dark full on, but with light sounds and melodies jumping around in the track. Track 2 starts uplifting with floating melodic sounds, before the pushing beats starts rolling. Very jumpy sounds all the way. Reminds me a bit of the Alien Project style, but slightly more full on. Track 3 is a nice morning trance track. Full on, but lighter and with some nice melodies. Track 4 is a track he has done together with Fatali (Eitan Carmi) who released an album (Moments) on Alcehemy Records last year. Here we get more full on, in a melodic way. Track 5 is called Bad Boys, and here we get voice samples from the movie, before the heavy full on bass lines starts rolling. One of the most full on, darkest tracks on this album. Here he has collaborated with the duo called Paranormal Attack.
Track 6 starts with some voice samples and an atmospheric floating sound, before the stumpy bass lines jumps in. This track has a very nice drift above the full on vibe. One of my favourite tracks on this album. Track 7 starts with a funny sound and some tribal drums. Then we get thrown right back to the massive full on vibe again. Strong beats, a lot of bass and jumpy sounds. Track 8 continues the full on vibe. Here we also get some tribal drums above the heavy rhythms. There are also some cool melodies in there. Track 9 starts floating. This track sounds a bit more like morning trance, with atmospheric sounds and melodies. Still full on and intense. The last track on this album is a heavy track, with some rock influences, like guitar sounds and a few vocal samples. Pretty dark and heavy, perfect for those who likes guitar trance…
This is in my ears the strongest album Perplex has released so far, and ten times better than the way too clubby Tranceporter album he released last year. Here you get pure full on psytrance all the way. Tracks that you will for sure hear a lot on the full on dance floors around this summer.
