New album out on 3D Vision Records in France...
|
3D Vision in France is releasing a new album, this time the first album by Central Processing Unit, which is Samy Guediche.
Central Processing Unit "CPU" 3D Vision Records 2003 (3DVCD017)
1. Killer Rabbit Remix
2. Doors To Visions
3. Shot Shot Voila
4. Down The Stairs
5. Haight Street Freak
6. Peak Detector
7. Processing Unit
8. Virtual Flirt
9. A Beach In Japan
The first track was first released on the Master Minds compilation, released on 3D vision earlier this year. Here we get a remix of it. This is totally full on noisy psytrance. A hard banging rolling rhythm and a noisy synth melody swirling above. Pure night time trance. Track 2 sounds a bit more melodic, and not as full on as the first track. Still you get the same synth throwing noisy sounds into the full on rhythms. Track 3 goes the same direction with the same sounds and same full on style. To me, it sounds just boring. I will call it full on minimal trance, since it is the same sounds etc all the way. Track 4 starts more interesting. It is made together with Christof Drouillet (Absolum). This a full on stumper. Typical Absolum style, with full on dark sounds all the way. The same sounds come back again, and things get boring for me. At least this is totally meaningless for home listening in my opinion, but it can for sure do it at a party, at least for the hard core boys…
Track 5 starts with some tribal drums. This track is more melodic, and full on in a slightly different way. In my opinion one of the best tracks on this album. Track 6 is made together with dj Mäel (Nomad). Heavy rolling style all the way, with the sounds we are getting used to from the previous tracks on this album. But after a while it builds up, and we get a little change with more melody. Track 7 sounds a lot like GMS, with the same full on sounds as the rest of the tracks here. Ok, one full on track like that is maybe cool, but 9? Track 8 starts banging from the first second. Full on all the way, but more varied than track 7. The last track on this album isn`t as fast as the rest. It is more melodic and varied too. In my opinion the best track on this album.
I really like full on psytrance, but a lot of these tracks sounds too much the same. I get bored of the same full on synth sounds all the way. Full on trance has developed a lot the last couple of years, and has become more varied etc, but this is in my opinion one step back. Check it out and listen for yourself.
