New Scandinavian album release from Creon Records in Sweden...
|
Creon Records in Sweden is out with their second album release, this time by two guys called Lucy in Space With Diamonds. (L.S.D.) This is Erik Färnert who was a member of a techno group called Pinocchio, and Lazar Silvergren who has performed as a dj. They started making music together after meeting each other on a tour in Sweden 2001.

First out is a little intro where a child says something. Then track 2 starts with almost some house influenced rhythms, before the heavy beats starts rolling. The track doesn`t vary a lot, but you get a few nice melodies. Track 3 starts with some voice samples too, before some nice and groovy rhythms hits in. A pretty full on track with more variation than track 2. The melodies in this one is nice too. Track 4 starts slow and floating with an uplifting melody. A melodic trancey, sort of morning track. Nice one with a bit of old style goa influences. Track 5 goes back to more full on dark stuff again. Pretty cool psychedelic sounds and really drifting rhythms. Track 6 is even darker and more full on. Track 7 takes another direction and becomes more melodic. Light but dark at the same time. Nice one after the intensive full on stuff. Track 8 is totally melodic. If you like old melodic goa with a new twist, this track might be perfect for your taste. Track 9 is back to the dark full on style again, with some noisy psychedelic sounds. Track 10 is a nice one with some tribal rhythms above the bass lines. At last we get a little outro with some voice samples again.
In this album you get both dark full on and melodic trance, so there should be something for most trance people. I missed some more variation in a few of the tracks, but most of it is pretty good.
