Review by PKS
The second album by Cosma (R.I.P.) is out on Hommega Productions. Another great release from Avihen Livne...

Avihen Livne (Cosma) surprised everybody with his debut album Simpilicity in 2001. He gave us something new and fresh from the Israeli scene. Crystal clear sound that was somewhere between scando trance and more typical Israeli trance. An album great for home listening, for your car drive or for partying, especially at sunrise early in the morning. February 2003, we got the sad news that Cosma had passed away (only 23 years old) in a motorcycle accident in Goa, India on his vacation, just a few weeks before his second album Nonstop was going to be released. An album a lot of trance lovers out there had been looking forward to since the release of Simplicity two years ago. Sadly the worlds trance scene has lost one of the most talented Israeli trance artists.

If you thought his first album sounded deep, be prepared for this album going even deeper. The first track starts dark and scary, before some really stumpy rhythms come in. A nice groovy progressive trance track, with some voice samples and a cool dark sound picture. Track two starts in a more known Cosma style. Sort of an Atmos alike rhythm drift and a mystic sound picture. A nice track, pleasant for home listening and dancing. Track 3 is my favourite track on this album. It has a nice groovy bass line and a very trancey sound picture. The melody in this one really makes you float. Great morning track! Then we go over to more pumping night time trance. Dark sounds and a heavy rolling bass line. Something for those of you who thought the first Cosma album was too slow. After this stumpy hard track, we go over to beautiful chill out. And Cosma sure knew how to make it chilled too! This is a beautiful chilled track with some birds singing, down tempo beats, piano and pleasant melodies. Nice one!
After a chilled break in track 5, we go over to heavy rolling rhythms again in track 6. A nice massive progressive trance track, with mystic melodies and nice breaks. Some how this track reminds me a bit of Skazi. Things get even darker and more full on in track 7. Fast going rhythms and totally dark sounds for the night. Track 8 is the most full on track on the album. This has more of the common rhythm drift you find in most full on tracks these days, but Cosma sure has added some interesting, scary floating sounds into it and it sounds really nice. In the last couple of minutes you get some pleasant melodies too. The last track on this album reminds me a bit of Morphem. Very pumping rhythms and some melodic sounds. But the melodies that come into this track might be a bit too cheesy for some.
In my opinion this album was better than the first Cosma album! He has made this album a bit darker and more full on than the first one. Here you get a beautiful chilled track, tracks for the morning and some dark night time music. Recommended!
