This compilation is something pretty different from most trance compilations being released these days. First out is a track by Spies (Holeg and A. Mercier). This is a very industrial dark track with a sort of scary vibe. This might be something for those of you who like the more industrial side of trance, like releases on Aurinko etc. Track 2 is a banging hard track by a guy called Drop Out (Magnus Bladh). This is a bit minimal in style, but still with some massive hard banging rhythms. For sure something for those of you who like Parasense etc. Track 3 was pretty surprising. This is a collaboration between two veterans in the game. One of them is Har-el Prusky, most known as Adrenalin Drum and California Sunshine. The other one is Johann Bley, most known as a member of Juno Reactor and for his solo project as Johann. Har-els releases might be too melodic for some people, and Johanns two albums aren`t among my favourites. But the track the two guys have made here is pretty nice. A sort of dark sound picture and some really pushing rhythms. After a while we get a pretty cool melody too, without getting cheesy or too dark. Pretty good track.

After a melodic track in a sort of full on industrial way, we get a minimal track by two guys called Section X (Francois Cribier and Patrice Pezet). This one is also a bit industrial, but is it psytrance? It sounds more like techno in my opinion. Do you remember the wonderful Eat Static track and album Science Of The Gods? Here we get a remix of it. This version is very hard, with almost annoyingly hard rhythms and rough sounds, and I prefer the original. But I like how Merv Pepler varies his tracks with break beats and trance rhythms. Eat Static is without doubt very talented and can handle a lot of different music styles. Xavier Morel (Carcharodon) gives us track six. This is totally dark minimal trance. Im not a big fan of this style, but maybe this is something for you if you like it scary and stumpy at the dance floor. Joujouka (Minoru Tunoda, Masayuki Kurihara, Tadanobu Asano and Tsuyoshi Suzuki) is still around us these days. Most people know by now that the master behind Matsuri Productions went tired of psytrance, and has now moved over to hard house. The track we get from these guys here is sort of hard house, but not exactly. It is sort of a new style, and I know they are calling it something new, like electro punk or something. But still, for me it sounds too much like hard house and I don`t like it. The east European guys Dogma 3000 (Damir Ludvig and Goran Stetic) has released trance for several years now. Here we get a track that goes the progressive minimal way, but with a touch of house. Then we get a track from another guy who has been around for many years, releasing music on KK Records in the beginning of the nineties. Now Kode IV is releasing tracks on Ceiba Records. Here we get a new fresh track. Kode IV is one of the few groups who still hold on to a lot of the good old melodic goa style. The track we get here is probably the most melodic track on this album. Refreshing after all the dark stuff in the previous tracks. Ollie Olsen from Australia is most known for his Psy-Harmonics label, and has been making music for many years. Here he finishes this compilation with a track under the name Quark. This is a weird happy track in the twisted way that only Finnish and Australians do it. Very industrial with weird melodies and sounds.

This compilation is full of famous artists that has been releasing trance for many years. It is mostly dark and pretty industrial, but you also get melodic trance, techno and hard house influenced music. An interesting compilation, so check it out!
