Utopia Records based in Israel is releasing full on trance by mostly fresh, young, upcoming artists from Israel. Now they are out with the debut album by Audiotec (Miki Damski). He has previously released several tracks on various compilations. The album title is The Magic Of Love, which might sound very cheesy for a trance album, but let’s not judge it by the title.

The first track starts off with a floating deep sound and a little vocal sample, before a groovy, rolling beat hits in. Full on, melodic trance in a very typical Israeli way. Track 2 starts with a nice little melody before we get thrown into the groovy rhythm again. This melody comes back into the track several times. Quite fluffy trance, but not too cheesy. Pretty drifting vibe with some very uplifting melodies. Track 3 was originally released on the Timeless compilation, which Utopia Records released earlier this year. This is the fastest track on this album (147bpm). It starts off with some kind of emotional melody, before the groovy bass line hits in together with an intense, melody, going a little bit darker than most other tracks on this album. The melody is quite trippy, and it reminds me a little bit of old school goa trance, which is nice. Track 4 starts with a mystic sound. Then the drifting, rolling beat starts working again and things build up. Quite massive and intense, with some really trippy melodies playing in there.
Track 5 has the album title The Magic Of Love. It starts with some really beautiful sounds. The bass line is heavy and groovy as always. These tracks doesn’t have much psychedelic experimental sounds, but more polished melodies etc. This track has some really good moments, but also some parts with a little bit too much fluffy ingredients. Track 6 goes in a very typical Israeli direction. Groovy, drifting, full on rhythms, with a lot of fluffy melodies and sounds without falling over to the too cheesy side. Track 7 has a more stumping style, still with those fluffy melodies. He has made this track together with a guy called Genetic Syndrome (Ilan Shemi). Track 8 goes a little bit darker. He has made this track together with Beat Hackers. It starts off a bit mystic, with some Arabic influences in the background. Then the pushing beats start hitting us again. Drifting, intense full on. The last track we get on this album doesn’t give us much rest either. Another typical Israeli, full on melodic track. Perfect for those who wants it uplifting in the morning.
This album has nine uplifting morning trance tracks. An album for those who like their full on trance to be a little bit more melodic than usual. For others, this album might sound way too cheesy, and there could have been some more creativity when it comes to psychedelic sounds. But, hands up for Audiotec for being very creative when it comes to uplifting melodies for the sunrise.
