Suria "Logical Evolution"

Crystal Matrix Records in Portugal is out with their third release. This time we get an album by Suria (Fred Gandara). Definitely one of the better cover arts I have seen lately.

From the first second we get thrown right into full on madness. The first track is totally full on all the way through, but it doesn’t sound very interesting in my ears. It sounds like a million other full on track, and at the end he has added some really cheesy melodies that totally ruins the track in my ears. Track 2 goes the same full on direction, but sounds a bit more melodic. Reminds me of some old school goa trance in a more full on way, but the melodies sounds a bit simple. Track 3 continues the full on style, but is definitely darker and less cheesy. Track 4 is a totally massive, full on to the bone track. Tons of noisy full on sounds swirling around the fast pushing beats.

Track 5 doesn’t sound much different from the other tracks on this album, but you get a little bit more variation. Track 6 is one of the darkest tracks on this album. It continues the massive full on drift, with a bit darker sounds than in the previous tracks. Track 7 is a really fast going, hard pushing stumper. This is actually the best track on this album in my opinion. Drifting full on. Track 8 doesn’t sound much different from the other tracks on this album. Massive full on, but not very varied. You were probably hoping for something different than full on at the end here, but no. He finishes with another full on track, but with a slightly more morning vibe than the other tracks on this album.

This album was in my ears a bit disappointing. There is not much variation here at all. All the tracks sound too much the same, and he doesn’t show much other skills than this full on style. There are probably too many tracks like these around to make me interested.
