Music reviews
Timewarp (Angelos Stoumpos) is out with his second solo album. His
first album Anima Mundi was released in 2002 on Loopsnoo Records. He mostly makes floating ambient, but also some down tempo chillled tracks. He also had a good live performance at the chill out stage at Samothraki Dance Festival in Greece last year.

The first track is a really slow relaxing ambient track, mostly just
floating in atmospheric sounds. Track 2 has some more relaxed rhythms, still with those spacey sounds. You also get a few voice samples here. Track 3 starts with the sound of running water. Then some totally chilling, floating sounds comes in slowly, and a melody sneeks in after a while. One of my favourite tracks on this album. The guitar sounds you get here are also pretty beautiful and relaxing. Not very psychedelic, but chilling easy listening. Track 4 is another very slow ambient track. Beautiful and floating with a mystic vibe. After a while we get some down tempo rhythms too. Track 5 has a bit more melody, rhythms and weird sounds.
Track 6 has some nice flute played by a guy named G. Mitsikaris, mixed with floating sounds. After a while, a groovy down tempo rhythm comes in and drift us through the track. Track 7 is back to total chilling again. Pretty good track with a mystic vibe and a few psychedelic sounds. The mystic vibe continues in track 8. This is also one of my favourite tracks on this album. The dubby sounds you get here are very relaxing. The last track on this
album is one of the slowest tracks on this album. Pretty weird track,
but very relaxing and floating, with a female voice now and then.
With this album you get a lot of relaxing ambient music, but nothing
extraordinary in my ears. Good music if you are in the right mood.
